HEAD START TEACHER-OMAK
To support the educational opportunities for children by providing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring comprehensive early childhood education services for children served in Head Start in accordance with Head Start performance standards, best practices, and OCCDA’s service plans, policies and procedures.
Required Education and Experience:
AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or;
An AA degree in a field related to Early Childhood Education and coursework equivalent to a major relation to Early Childhood Education or;
A BA or advanced degree in any field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education or;
A BA in any field and has been admitted into the Teach for America program, passed a rigorous early childhood content exam, such as the Praxis II, participated in Teach for America summer training institute that includes teaching preschool children and is receiving ongoing professional development and support from Teach for America’s professional staff.
1 year experience in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education.
1 year work experience and knowledge of child development and Early Childhood curriculums.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Position is full time at48 weeks per year.Salary is $12.18 to 17.81 per hour depending on education and experience.
