COMBO TEACHER/FCE- Omak (Early Head Start)
As the combination teacher the role is to plan, coordinate and implement a quality education, health and social services program that will assist families in identifying and reinforcing experiences which can occur in the home and classroom and to deliver comprehensive Early Head Start’s home based services, through home visits and group socialization experiences. This position provides Group Socializations at least twice a month that provides opportunities for parents and children enrolled in the home base option to strengthen and support their relationship. This position coordinates activities in the home and classroom, encourages and assists parents to become involved in development, goal setting and activity planning for children and the families and encourage and promote children’s cognitive, gross and fine motor, language and personal and social development.
Required Education and Experience:
Infant/Toddler CDA credential and training or equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant toddler development.
AA or BA in Early Childhood Education with equivalent coursework related to a CDA in Infant/Toddler development.
2 years professional experience working with infants, toddlers and/or maternal and child health or related services.
1.Current early childhood development best practices for children 0-3..
2. Principles of toddler development and curriculum planning.
3.Health and safety issues of toddlers and their families.
4.Relationship of health and well-being of pregnant women to prenatal and early childhood development.
5.Knowledge and experience relating to community resources for referrals to families in need of services.
Position is full time at 48 weeks per year, not to exceed 1920 hours per year. Salary is $13.33 to $18.85per hour depending on education and experience.
