ASSISTANT TEACHER - OROVILLE (Head Start)
To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and/or agency policies and procedures.
Required Education and Experience:
Current CDA Associate (CDA) credential or;
Be enrolled in a CDA credential program with a professional development plan to obtain a CDA that will be completed within 2 years of hire or;
Be enrolled in Teach for America or;
Have an AA degree in any field with 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education (or with professional development plan to obtain 12 college credit within 2 years of hire or;
Have an AA or BA degree in Early Childhood Education
1 year experience in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education preferred.
Work experience and knowledge in curriculums and early childhood development.
Position is for theProgram Year.Salary $11.98 - $17.02 DOE.
